2019 Meetings
First Meeting Today! Today we went over a presentation about this organization and what we do. We also made thank-you cards for Nurse Angela, who is coming in to speak about her profession next on 08/20! Remember to sign up for the reminds!
Today Nurse Angela came in to talk about how she got into medicine and why she chose the filed she did. We also went over officer roles and applications!
Today we went over the organization contract and reminders for enrollment and participation in Medical Minds. We also had Dr. Anuj Daftari come in to talk bout his experience as both a Pain Management Specialist and Back Surgeon!
Remember that your club fees and contract are due this Friday the 6th! Today we went over upcoming volunteering events through sign up genius. We also met our 2019-20 Officer Board! The HOCO Carnival is in 2 weeks! Medical Minds will be hosting a fundraising event at the carnival! View the presentation in Events for more details.
Today we went over a presentation on our HOCO Carnival booth and volunteering opportunities. We went over club policies towards volunteering including requirements per semester and double dipping hours.
Today we went over our participation as a club in the HOCO Carnival and information about our new fundraiser! We collected contracts and receipts for the club, and created posters for our HOCO booth! Remember to pay the club fee by 10/29 to remain in this organization!!
Today we passed out Avenir Paperwork and volunteer logs. Two ladies that are in charge from the Avenir senior living center came in and did a presentation on how to volunteer at the senior center.
Today we went over and discussed about Adopt a family and the Lung Force Walk- 11/16 at 3:00 PM
Today we discussed about the volunteer requirement reminder.

W talked about our new project kits for kids and we made posters. CLUB FEES ARE DUE TODAY!
Today we discussed all of the projects we are going to have a second semester and the PCH Christmas drive at the hospital. Bring supplies to make cards for the PCH patients HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
2020 Meetings
Today is the first day back from winter break, hope you all had fun. Today we discussed about the Body Exhibit field trip and the prices. The field trip is on January 25th. The Fee is due next meeting to the book store!
Today we collected all the field trip fees to the Body Exhibit and talked about the time and schedule. We had an HIV speaker come and talk about their career.
Today we talked about the water balloon fundraiser at elementary schools on 2/21 after school at Paragon. Sign up on Sign up genius. Today we had a retired doctor speaker come and talk about their career.
Today we made posters for the water balloon fight and we went over the Medical Minds Website. We had an important discussion about going to the PCH for donating money this weekend on 2/22
Today we signed up for food to bring at for the end of the year party. Elections for next year, are held at the start of next year. We filled out forms of the club experience.
END OF THE YEAR PARTY!
First meeting of the year! Today, we went over the upcoming events that we have planned for this year. Officer applications were due 8/26 and the new board members will introduce themselves at the next meeting.
Introduction to our 17 COVID projects this year; responding to the survey about speakers you are interested in having come in for a workshop; description of 4 branches by branch managers; intro to board members and branch managers; Discussed the purposes and functions of each branch
Discussion about branches; Open up sign up genius for virtual volunteering projects; Look into which projects you are interested in; Speaker schedule released next meeting
Fundraising for medical kits in communities
Encourage members to set up Kits for kids drives in the community.
New members joined; stay behind for a description about our organization and catch up
Present all branches and work on publicity to other members
Volunteer requirement is due by the end of 2020 : 2 events at least and 10-15 hours with photo proof
